The lounge-diner sits at the front of the apartment with a dark corner sofa, glass dining table for four and a wall-mounted smart TV. French doors open onto a private balcony with outdoor seating, looking out over trees and open ground.

The kitchen is a separate fitted galley in white cabinetry with a blue mosaic splashback, gas oven and hob with chimney extractor, fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster, plus a washing machine and separate tumble dryer.

The bedroom has a king zip-and-link bed that can be made up as two singles on request, with wardrobe, bedside tables and lamps. The bathroom has a bath with overhead shower, basin, toilet and chrome heated towel rail in grey tile.

The site backs onto open fields with playing fields to the west, and the apartments are positioned perpendicular to the runways – so they do not sit under the flight path and stay genuinely quiet day and night.

Day-to-day amenities are within walking distance. There is a convenience store a few minutes’ walk away, and a 24-hour Tesco Express next to Ashford Hospital around a kilometre away. Stanwell village has a small parade of shops and a couple of pubs. Staines town centre is a 10-minute drive and has the Elmsleigh Shopping Centre, the Two Rivers retail park, and a wide spread of independent restaurants – Mexican, Italian, Indian, Greek, Japanese and Turkish all within a short walk of each other along the High Street.

This is one of the closest serviced apartments to Heathrow. Terminal 4 is around 10 minutes by car or local taxi, and Terminal 5 is 10-15 minutes. The Heathrow Hoppa bus service runs to all terminals, and Hatton Cross tube station on the Piccadilly Line is the nearest underground stop for a direct ride into central London.

Ashford railway station is a five-minute drive with services to London Waterloo via Clapham Junction. Staines railway station and Wraysbury are also nearby for the South Western lines into Waterloo, and into Reading.

By road, the M25 is reached at Junction 14 in about five minutes, opening up the M4 to Reading and the M3 to Southampton. Central London is reachable by road in around an hour outside peak times, or much faster by tube from Hatton Cross.
